Educational Season!

Travel agents love this time of year - what we fondly refer to as "Educational Season"! This autumn more than ever, we've been inundated with invites; in fact throughout September and October, 21 of our 52 Travel Counsellors will have been on one trip or another. A further 23 members of our team have availed of an educational trip in the previous 12 months. What an amazing industry to be part of.

In September and October alone, we've had Travel Counsellors in India, Morocco, Barbados, nine in Dubai on an exclusive TC trip while 3 jet off to Kalkan in Turkey along with 25 othr Travel Counsellors from around the globe. Later in the autumn some of our Travel Counsellors will be seen in Malaysia, Borneo and the Seychelles! We've a lot to be grateful for and we are delighted that we work so closely with some fantastic Irish based suppliers who are so happy with our sales that they always want a Travel Counsellor as a guest on one of their trips.

Of course being a Travel Counsellor means that you decide what your holiday entitlement is and you don't have to ask anyone for time off, so once your can plan your work and personal life around the trip, it's down to you. We have a 'buddy system' in place so that a TC colleague can look after your business while you are away and you can return the favour when they need a break or wish to avail of a work trip.

Our TC's write a blog or travel diary for their recently launched new website and share it with all of their clients, friends and families and that ensures more sales post trip for them. They also share their experience internally with TC colleagues via our weekly TCTV broadcast, so everyone can get a sense of the destination from the person who has most recently visited.

We believe that seeing more of the world helps you to sell more and it's a proven fact that every time someone returns from an educational, sales to that destination increase almost immediately; that's why we encourage our people to avail of familiarisation trips.

What other industry offers such great opportunities to see the world in style!?
